Verrucae Treatments
Verrucae are plantar warts that usually occur on the soles or around the toe area. Caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), verrucae are highly contagious through person to person contact.
Causes
Can be contracted through any openings present in the feet, such as cuts and bruises, and can be contracted by walking on the same floor as those with the virus. Common places the verrucae can be contracted are public places like swimming pools, gym or public showers.
Symptoms
Though initially harmless, they can develop into being extremely painful. Occurring near calluses, they spread quickly and look unsightly.
- Growth on the soles with tiny black dots.
- Painful when pinched.
- Can spread into a cluster of warts.
