If you suffer from foot, joint or muscle pain A BIOMECHANICAL / MSK ASSESSMENT can be carried out to establish the cause of your musculoskeletal problem.
At our podiatry clinic MSK assessment takes up to 60 minutes and is carried out by our HCPC registered Podiatrist.
During assessment a podiatrist will examine how your feet work and move by assessing range of motion in your joints and by examining your foot posture while you stand.
Next, the Podiatrist will conduct gait analysis (the way you walk) while you walk on the treadmill or across the floor. If you are recommended custom orthotics a 3D Scan of your feet will be taken during your appointment.
You can also choose more enhanced assessment using new technology PODO SMART. If PODO Smart technology is agreed for your assessment a special insoles will be inserted in your shoes while you walking and information of your gait will be transferred to computer for precise gait analysis.
Based on biomechanical assessment, your medical history and person centred planning you will be provided with individual advice to address your foot condition.
